Each day will be filled with baseball drills that cover a variety of baseball skills to help each camper take their game to the next level! Campers will be housed at the University of San Diego and train daily at the Francis Parker School across the street from the University. Camp will stress instruction, gameplay situations, and ensure campers have fun while learning. He spent 5 years playing professionally in the MiLB and 13 years as a Division I assistant coach and pitching coach. From served in the same capacity at the Santa Clara University. During the summer of Myers served as pitching coach for the Santa Barbara Foresters of the California Collegiate league. During his time as a Division I assistant coach, Myers instructed players that eventually played professional baseball with 35 reaching the Major Leagues. Myers was drafted in by the Oakland Athletics and eventually played 5 seasons with the Athletics, Orioles and Cardinals. Myers currently enters his 9th year as an area scout for the World Champion Chicago Cubs. Development of physical and mental game fundamentals from professional instructors who will teach the game inside and out. Groups will be designated as High School Age or General Skills Age and is intended to give the player all the skills necessary to improve and take their game to the next level. High School players will experience College Level workouts and received an entire college-level training experience. In addition, pitchers will have the opportunity to work with pitching instructors. This camp is offered as an Overnight or Day Only program. You can expect high demand on these first-come-first-serve camper spots, so please be sure to register early. Campers will receive professional-level instruction from coaches that have played and taught at the college and professional levels. We stress the importance of team building, individual mental and physical development in our structured drills and competitive games. Our camp base is the future of the game of baseball. They will complete camp with an understanding of the basic baseball fundamentals, what it takes to play at the next level, and grasp the importance of playing the game with energy and passion in a team environment. Players should supply their own glove, cleats, bat, batting gloves and a helmet and wear baseball attire baseball pants recommended.
